Our courses

The TUC programme of courses offers both high quality, accredited union reps training through a network of colleges of further and higher education across the UK and a series of wholly online courses that can be studied at any time. Read more about online courses. Courses are designed to:

  • help union reps both in the workplace and in their union
  • develop greater understanding of trade union policies and priorities
  • enhance the personal confidence of everyone who takes part
  • recognise learning achievement through accreditation and qualifications

The TUC is committed to equal treatment regardless of sex, race, disability, sexual orientation or age. Our approach to learning encourages equal participation. Skills, knowledge and understanding is developed that will help union reps assist all of their members whatever their background.

Courses are attended by representatives of member trade unions and include:

  • stewards (workplace reps)
  • health and safety reps
  • union learning reps
  • pension scheme trustees
  • equality reps
  • green reps
